The migrasome is a novel type of organelle first discovered and reported in 2014 by the laboratory of Professor Li Yu at Tsinghua University. Present in various tissues and organs, migrasomes are widely involved in physiological and developmental processes such as organelle quality control, intercellular communication, and cellular microenvironment regulation. This year marks the beginning of the second decade for the migrasome field. Over the past ten years, numerous researchers and clinicians both in China and abroad have dedicated themselves to migrasome research, gradually propelling migrasome biology into an emerging discipline with significant influence.

During the conference, over 30 experts and scholars, including Professor Wang Hongwei and Director Li Haiyan from Peking University Third Hospital, shared the latest progress in their migrasome research from various perspectives such as migrasome generation mechanisms and functions. The scholars not only revealed novel mechanisms of migrasome growth and content release but also shared important roles of migrasomes in numerous physiological and pathological processes, including bacterial pathogen clearance, viral replication, tumor metastasis, and wound repair. The conference also featured a special session on migrasome research techniques, where frontline researchers from Professor Li Yu's team provided detailed introductions to essential techniques for migrasome studies, such as observation, extraction, and characterization.

As a pioneer in migrasome translational research, Beijing Migrasome Biotech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Migrasome Biotech") was represented by Dr. Dai Chen, Vice President, who delivered a detailed report on migrasome translational research centered on the 3R concept (Read, Rebuild, Rectify) and officially introduced a new series of migrasome research kits. Migrasome Biotech's research kits and services now cover the entire routine migrasome research workflow, including observation, extraction and purification, as well as detection and characterization. The company has also innovatively developed the MigraIso® Tissue migrasome extraction and purification kit based on magnetic bead negative selection, significantly simplifying the conventional density gradient purification process.

As the final speaker of the conference, Professor Li Yu presented a report titled "From Original Innovation in Migrasomes to Clinical Translation," outlining a bright and clear future vision for the migrasome field. He emphasized that researchers must always maintain reverence for the "unknown unknowns" and remember the nature of scientific theories as provisional subjective hypotheses to sustain long-term scientific clarity. He also shared his team's recent findings on migrasome formation mechanisms and functions using various model organisms, along with some of their latest translational achievements. Finally, he encouraged researchers to explore using AI to establish "dark labs," aiming to achieve more world-leading original research.

Currently, migrasome biology is thriving and entering a phase of rapid development, yet it urgently requires key explorations into its core mechanisms, multifunctional network regulation, and clinical translation. We hereby sincerely invite more researchers interested in migrasomes to join the growing family of migrasome research.

Migrasome Biotech offers research kits and services suitable for all stages of migrasome studies. Through research collaborations with multiple clinical partners including Peking University Third Hospital, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and Peking University People's Hospital, we have accumulated extensive experience in the detection, extraction, and characterization of migrasomes from clinical samples. We warmly welcome all migrasome researchers to inquire.
